Weekend Trip to Corvallis, Oregon

Anjali doing a comedy routine for Nala the dog, on the back patio with Stella.

Only back from Baja for a week, Papi and I saw an opportunity for a long weekend trip up to Corvallis, Oregon, to visit Aunt Tiff, Uncle Josh, and Stella. For such a short trip, it felt surprisingly full-yet-relaxed, all at once. We experienced warm sun, biting cold, and plenty of rain showers. We went for a long bikeride tour of the countryside and small town of Corvallis, ate delicious home-cooking by Uncle Josh and yummy food out, visited playgrounds and parks, and still had plenty of nice down-time for adult conversation and toddler play at the house. Anjali and Stella are good friends! They relax into play with one another and seem to enjoy it a lot. Stella has astonishing physical strength and acrobatic ability! Whenever they get together, Anjali comes away with another physical skill she wants to challenge herself with. Lately it's hopping down steps with both feet, and climbing things. She feels really comfortable with Aunt Tiff and Uncle Josh. It's neat to see. She also took advantage of Stella's closet of cute clothes to make many daily costume changes, and kitty cats who will let her get more than one pet in at a time.
We are so glad we made the trip, and look forward to the next time we get to play with the Short-Sauls family.
Exploding door of toddlers.
Costume change number "four-five-six-quattro-cinco-seis!"
Silly with Uncle Josh.
Country walk that started warm and sunny, and turned frigid and windy. They live in a house right behind the one shown, and share the nice big grassy yard with view of pastures and distant mountains.
Bikeride!

The laptop needed to have some memory freed up. When I get it all squared away, here's the link to the photos from our long weekend in Corvallis:
