Anjali and Phyllis
Sadly I must announce that Phyllis, the blonde-colored "Fancy" chicken, died last week. I found the remains of her body in the back corner of the yard, near the fig tree, who knows how long after some predatory animal ~ a big (hungry) cat, raccoon, or perhaps a bird of prey ~ had quite a large meal from her. Her body was buried under the compost pile where she spent most of her time. We loved her as an endearingly quirky pet, and a very patient friend to Anjali. May she find grace and freedom.
We are all going to miss seeing Anjali with Phyllis. She was a good playmate and I am sure will be missed, but the memories and thankfully the videos will remain.Maybe Kitty or Rudolpho will fill in shortly!?!....did I hear someone say they were too smart?
