Almost seven months later, here we were again at the same beach ~ Stinson Beach, an hour north.
The wind drove us into a hollow amongst sand dunes, where a happy blue umbrella shielded us from the sun. Anjali mostly napped, recovering from all the excitement of a week with visitors. But she did explore some beach finds ~ driftwood, smooth rocks, a shell, that held her interest on the blanket. Then she experimented with the peculiar qualities of dry sand in the hands (and in the mouth, I'm sure). The water temperature made simply dipping the toes adventurous! Once was all that was necessary.
Sand in between the fingers and toes, in the hair and ears ~ looks like a perfect first day at the beach.
