A Visit from Gramma and Papa

Gramma and Papa Pope came for a visit.  We rode bikes, we took walks, we ate a lot of good food, and sang and played.  And alongside all of that fun, Papi and Papa spent a lot of time building a new "garage" for our bikes in the driveway.  Gramma helped, too.  Anjali supervised, and Mommy made sure everyone had enough to eat and drink.

While Anjali and Papa had had fun together on previous visits, this was time for Anjali and Gramma to become big buddies.  They played and sang "Bouncy Bouncy Ball-y!" all - day - lo-ong every day.  They inspected and described objects, and counted them over and over again.  And they made mischief by sticking out their tongues!  Anjali delighted in this attention and activity.  She struggled every time she needed to sleep because she wanted to stay awake and play play play some more.    We all look forward to the next visit!
