Toddling
Well, we've definitely moved on past the experimental stage in the walking department. When Anjali asks to be put down on the floor, she wants to stand when she gets there. She oftentimes grabs a hand to hold and rushes forward to her desired destination, challenging her adult companion to keep up! When she is down on the floor playing, she lifts up on her legs to stand as opposed to moving forward to crawl. While in Georgia, the game seemed to be to dash between one "safe" chair to another by walking. When she got there, she smiled grandly; it was obvious that getting there was a challenge, and that she was pleased with her effort. Crawling or knee-walking are still much more efficient and dependable to her, but virtually every venture starts with at least a few walking steps before she lowers herself down to her knees to get down the business of getting where she wants to go.

I actually was daydreaming about Anjali's walking adventures when I was waking up this morning. What a treat to get a little glimpse!
